An American curator and art historian, Susan Hapgood lived in Mumbai from 2010-14, during which time she founded the Mumbai Art Room, curated numerous exhibitions and briefly taught curatorial studies at the School of Arts and Aesthetics, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She is the author of a book on nineteenth century photographs of Mumbai titled Early Bombay Photography (2015).
At the time of writing, Hapgood lives and works in New York, where she is a senior advisor to Independent Curators International and the executive director of the International Studio & Curatorial Program.
